Driving past Cherryland Electric the other day, I was wondering how much solar power is being generated when the solar panels are covered in snow for days???
Hi Fran – there is definitely a big difference in output from winter to summer. It’s not just from snow, it’s also because the days are so much shorter in the winter. The panels are pitched to to maximize solar collection and snow shed but our output in December or January is approximately 10 – 20% of that in June and July.
