Anyone who is a member of record, whether or not the member plans to attend our Annual Meeting, may cast a ballot in the 2018 Cherryland Electric Cooperative Board of Directors Election. Only one ballot may be cast per membership.
This year you will be voting for one At-Large director and one director from Grand Traverse/Kalkaska County.
Members have three voting options in Cherryland’s board of directors election. Regardless of the voting option, the first ballot received by SBS is the ballot that will be counted.
To vote through SmartHub, access your online ballot by logging into your account via our website (voting unavailable via the SmartHub mobile app), select the “Vote Now” button in the upper, right-hand corner of the screen and follow the instructions given on the board election website.
If you do not wish to use SmartHub, go to the board election website, enter your ballot I.D. and election passcode printed on the back of your May issue of Michigan Country Lines (see example to the right) or in the email from SBS, and follow the instructions given on the board election website.
To be counted, online ballots must be cast by 12:00 p.m. on June 20, 2018. For technical support (available Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EDT, excluding holidays), please call 952-974-2339 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Insert the paper ballot into the enclosed postage-paid “Business Reply” envelope both inside the May issue of Michigan Country Lines, seal and mail. Please do not include anything other than the ballot. Additional or replacement mail-in ballots are not available.
Mail-in ballots must be received by June 20, 2018, at Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS) in Eden Prairie, MN.
If you do not vote online or by mail, you can vote in person at the Annual Meeting from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on June 21, 2018. If you submit either an online ballot or mail-in ballot, you will not receive a ballot at the Annual Meeting.
