Have you thought about running for the Cherryland Electric Cooperative board of directors?

This year, the membership will be electing two directors at our Annual Meeting in June—one to represent Grand Traverse/Kalkaska counties and one at-large position.

To be nominated, candidates must file a petition with the cooperative’s human resources administrator. The deadline to file a petition is March 31, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.

Nominating petitions must be signed by at least 25 active members of the cooperative, in good standing, and all signatures must be obtained within 60 days prior to the date the petition is filed. You can pick up a nominating petition at Cherryland’s office in Grawn.

Cherryland’s directors serve three-year terms. All nominees must meet the requirements set forth by the cooperative’s bylaws under Article III, Section 2.
